the camera eye posting was interesting because he says something along the lines that the memory of that fight and everyone recording it with a toy camera and no one stopping to help the kid is something that still disturbs him. That people behave in a different way infront of a camera whether its real or not. Thats true. The things that are out there especially now in todays world are people who portray themselves to be something that they are not. MTV had a true life episode the other day of 3 people who are completly lonely and depressed in real life...over the internet they are porn stars, and rock stars. the same concept as the camera, you behave a different way than who you are in real life.

You are right and think what this does to the issue of "self" and "identity:" in such a heavily mediated culture (communication technology/visual images etc.) what is "real life" is increasingly hard to determine. Or do you disagree?
